Memories. Projects. Files.

Agent starts where Carly starts.

Memories. Projects. Files.

Okay, drumroll please... we're shipping 3 HUGE things today.

Every great PR person knows that you can't build a winning media list without really knowing your client. You have to anticipate what a reporter is going to think of the story you're pitching them -- everything from the framing of your pitch, to what stories they've written in the past and if those two combine the right way in order to land the coverage you're after.

Before, our agent didn't have that valuable context layer to give you the best list possible.

...but, now it does.

The Medialyst Agent can now get to know your client in three ways:

1. Projects. The folder.

A project is a client, a brand, or one story. Whatever you'd keep a folder for. Everything you give the agent about that client lives there, and every campaign runs alongside a project.

Projects are shared across your organization, so the whole team can work from the same folders. We went ahead and made you a default project already, so no additional set up is needed.

2. Project files. The stuff in the folder.

PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD. The brief. The press releases. The 120-page white paper you've been summarizing into the chat box. Last year's wins. Your client onboarding notes. Upload anything - up to 500 files per project.

The agent reads the relevant ones before it builds your media list, and pulls what's useful for scoring journalists on your list.

3. Agent memory. Teach it how you work.

No two publicists work the same way, and no two clients want the same thing.

There's no one-size-fits-all agent, so now you can teach yours. Each project gets a memory file, plain text and yours to edit. Three ways to write it:

  • Open any project's memory file and type away.
  • Say it in the chat. "Remember we only want US media for this client" gets noted in memory, and the message tells you it did.
  • Click the new thumb up and down buttons in any journalist's card.

Memory is shared by everyone on the project. When a teammate teaches the agent something about the client, your next list knows it too. Every line also keeps a record of who wrote it and when.

Now you can:

✅ Upload your client onboarding notes, and the agent knows what the client actually wants (the dream publications, the angles they're tired of, what counts as a win) before you type a word.
✅ Write down the rule that's too nuanced to retype in every prompt, once.
✅ Write "US only" once. Not "no UK" after every list.
✅ Keep the outlet the client hates on the list, but rank it lower.

→ Open Medialyst and create your first project (paid plans only)

I'm personally really excited about all of these - put the three together and Medialyst stops being the same agent for everyone. It works the way you work, for the clients you're working on. They are also the foundational lego blocks that make AI+PR agents shine - we've also got a few more things built on top of these coming up, so stay tuned.

This week's Carly Score: 67.2 (+6.8 vs last week).

The Carly Score from 27.9 in July to 60.4 last week and 67.2 this week, against Carly's line at 100

This week's score is graded with Carly's client folder uploaded to a project and the memory file written from her own rules.

Something interesting we observed: one of her files named the outlets her client cared about. The prompt had no outlets named. The agent planned searches around those outlets and found 12 journalists on her list at outlets no earlier build had touched. So we know this works.

The changes moved the score up by +6.8 this week.

Also this week: CASA verified

Medialyst passed its Cloud Application Security Assessment (CASA) at Tier 2, verified by TAC Security, an independent assessor authorized by Google's App Defense Alliance. It's the bar Google sets for apps that handle sensitive user data.
