Carly Martinetti

About

Carly first joined Medialyst as a founding strategic advisor, grading its AI media lists against the lists her team builds by hand. That work became the public Carly Score. Later, she decided to join as co-founder alongside Elvis Sun, who announced her joining on LinkedIn. Notably is where Medialyst features are built and tested first. What works there ships to every Medialyst customer.

Carly is also the co-founder of Notably, a PR and AI visibility agency for mid-market companies. She launched it in fall 2020 with her mother, Carin Warner, who founded Warner Communications. The agency works across earned attention, AI visibility, executive content through the Narrative Lab™, and creative services. Its published case studies include Red Wing Shoes, Pyx Health, Ladders, and Dynatrace.

Before Notably, Carly co-founded PrettyLitter, a health-monitoring cat litter company, in 2015. The company was first pitched on ABC Family's Startup U, and Mars, Inc. acquired it in 2021 in a deal Bloomberg reported at just under $1 billion. Earlier in her career, Carly was an assistant producer on the Dr. Phil show, opened and ran Warner Communications' Los Angeles office, and served as a partner and managing director at PressFriendly, a San Francisco PR firm for startups.

Her bylines have appeared in Newsweek and Entrepreneur. She holds a BA from UCLA.

A note on Carly's data accessLink to this section: A note on Carly's data access

Carly runs Notably, a PR agency, and many Medialyst customers are agencies too. We know that can raise a fair question about access. Carly cannot see customer content—pitches, client names, conversations, files or lists—and nobody who owns or works at another PR or communications agency can see it either. She can see that an organization is a customer, along with its plan and billing status.

We enforce that separation in code through database roles assigned by business function, not just through policy. Medialyst staff open customer content only when they need to provide support. Nothing you put into Medialyst is used to train AI models.
