Use AI discovery when you know the outcome you want but do not want to choose the mechanics yourself.

Select Add journalists → AI discovery. Medialyst opens the workspace chat with Find more journalists who ready for you to complete.

What to type

Use known coverageAdd the journalists who wrote these articles: [URLs]

The agent prepares an approval card before it changes the table. Review the proposed names, search terms, URLs, and credit estimate, then approve or reject it.

How the agent chooses a path

  • Specific journalist names use the direct by-name action. No article search is required.
  • Topic, beat, competitor, or outlet discovery uses a news search.
  • Article links use the article-URL path.
  • CSV files use the From CSV dialog. After the upload, ask the agent to review or enrich the imported list.

Every approved addition appends rows to the same media list and records the concrete mechanism in Sources. The source label reflects how the rows were produced—such as Added by name or Keyword search—while the trace-back detail records that the agent proposed the batch.

Prompting tips

  1. Include the beat (fintech, climate, consumer health).
  2. Include the publication type (trade, consumer, business).
  3. Add exclusions (not enterprise software, exclude crypto-only outlets).
  4. Add geography and recency when they matter.
